      I offer customized professional learning sessions to support educators with accelerating readers, differentiating instruction, and cultivating higher-level thinking using visual texts and culturally responsive practices. My sessions attune to adult learning needs and provide actionable strategies teachers can apply immediately. Live online, asynchronous, webinar, or on-site with options for ongoing support.

      Keynote or breakout session speaker/presenter on research-based visual literacy practices, Language Arts instruction, accelerating striving readers, differentiating to ensure higher-level learning for all students, and more. I co-present at state and national conferences, frequently speak on Comic Con panels, appear on education podcasts, and even interview authors of visual stories at book festivals.

      I design standards-aligned Language Arts curriculum for grades 6-12 that is evidence-based and culturally responsive. I create lesson plans and study guides to accompany culturally sustaining texts. My curriculum meets the highest Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion standards.

      I edit curriculum and instructional resources to ensure alignment with Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion standards. I support content writers with eliminating bias, limited perspectives, and inaccurate representations.

We can work together over email, on the phone, through video conferencing, for one hour, a whole day, or over the course of a year or more.
